With Valentine’s Day approaching, it’s time to think about buying sweets for your loved one. What could go better with a beautiful flower arrangement than a box of chocolates?

A new study suggests you may be able to ease your guilt when indulging in this popular Valentine’s treat.

The study, mentioned in an article by Webmd writer Jennifer Warner, says dark chocolate and cocoa power may qualify as a “super food,” or a food with high antioxidant content. According to the article, “antioxidants are a group of compounds known to fight the damaging effects of oxidative stress on cells within the body and are increasingly thought to have many heart-healty properties.”

So enjoy a few treats during your day of romance. As the old saying goes:  “Everything in moderation.”
