In this post, I’m going to change the pace.  I like to focus on baby boomer men’s health.  I also hope men and women (of all ages) can benefit from these blog pages.  Today, I’m directing this post to men and women who have kids in college.

National Public Radio has an article listing five big health issues on campus. It’s well worth your read, because it might prompt you to check with your kids from time to time and see how they’re doing.

College can be a stressful time. As the article points out, youngsters can faces issues such as stress, lack of sleep and weight gain. Hey, it’s easy for college students to get familiar with the neighborhood pizza parlor.  A little pizza here…a little pizza there…and weight balloons.  It’s not a complicated concept!  As for alcohol:  That’s a serious issue for a future blog post.

The next time your son or daughter calls you from campus, asking for a $100 loan, ask if he or she is staying healthty.
