It’s easy to kid your buddy about his or her “senior moment.” That’s when you can’t think of an answer to a question…even if it’s obvious and on the tip of your tongue.  My “senior moments” began at birth…but I digress. National Public Radio has a great feature on the baby boomer brain. It’s not all bad news. Michelle Trudeau introduces us to UCLA research psychiatrist Gary Small.

It’s comforting to know that complex reasoning skills and empathy improve as we enjoy our boomer years. As the story points out, computer use may boost our brain power in the areas of memory and decision making. That’s good news for yours truly, as I spend way too much time online.

Last, but not least, the Trudeau piece points out that brain cells continue to grow as one gets older. Great news for those who have spent more than a few mornings enduring miserable hangovers.
