Wouldn’t it be great if your employer offered an exercise room, complete with the latest gym equipment? You could do your crunches and curls during your lunch hour. The New York Times has a story about the latest trend. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/05/23/health/23patient.html I am lucky there is both a nature trail and a weight room across the street from my workplace. I hope all major companies offer on-site exercise facilities. It’s simply a great investment for the employer, who is faced with the increasing cost of health insurance. Smaller companies should try to offer workers discount rates at health clubs, or, at a minimum, provide sign-up sheets for workers who want to organize walking groups. Please share your experiences on this blog. What wellness programs are offered at your workplace? Do you join co-workers on nature walks, or at workouts?
